Reservations Manager Wanted
Luxury Hotel Groups & Management.
Working for one of the most well known luxury hotel groups in the world. You will be based at the London, West End hotel where at least 500 staff are based.
Responsible for:Assistant reservations manager / reservation sales agents
Purpose:To ensure maximum possible occupancy and average room rate is achieved at all times. To ensure the efficient day to day running of the Department
Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Daily Management of the department
2.To manage any overbooking on a certain room type.
3.Make sure that all VIP reservations have been inserted correctly.
4.Check the arrivals list and the accuracy of the reservations / rates and investigate any double
5.Prepare the current and following month outlook on a daily basis by market segment and monitor actual versus forecast for plan
6.Assist in analysing production statistics and yield information to identify potential new business, markets, trends and highlight findings to Sales & DoR.
7.MAINTENANCE OF SYSTEMS & PROCEDURES: Maintain accuracy of all reservations and other data
8.Ensure that all the rates are loaded by accurate completion of all rate databases
9.Cost Control: Adhere to departmental operating expenses as laid out in the plan/forecast. 10.Compile departmental work schedules and adhere to departmental payroll in line with budgets.
11. Schedule annual leaves during low demand periods to maximise payroll savings.
12. To attend all departmental meetings, briefings & internal or external training sessions as required
Essential Skills and Experience
*Recent operational experience in similar size hotel - minimum 2 years
*Fluent Spanish would be helpful ( not essential)
*Very good negotiation skills.
*Attention to detail and very good analytical skills.
* Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
*Commercially orientated
*Flexibility - must be able to work a variety of hours as required by the business need.
*A Hotel background ( ideally)
